Third chick hatched today. That makes 2 hatching at 13 days incubation rather than the normal 14 days. One egg left to hatch in that nest. The father is the bird which fathered 7 young last year including my big winner, the yellow hen. All seem to be clear.
In the white hen's nest, we have two dark winged, yellow bellied and what I think is a white. All are now ringed. The legs of the chicks are just right at 6 days to get the rings on - a day later is too late.
The green hen has three eggs - at least one looks fertile this time. Fingers crossed.
